Data Security:
ROPE makes every effort to

behalf. All communication between the donor and PayPal is encrypted to the maximum
strength supported by the donor's browser using TSL or SSL (Secure Socket Layer)
security. PayPal is an eBay company and states on its website through which
your transaction is processed:
"Security is of critical importance at PayPal. We use proprietary technology
- and constantly innovate - to help ensure your transactions are safe. In addition,
PayPal and eBay have over 1000 people worldwide dedicated to keeping PayPal
accounts safe, and stopping online criminals."
Nevertheless we all recognise that the internet carries risks. Whilst ROPE takes
all reasonable efforts to render information sent to us secure, we cannot warrant
security of information transmitted to us through the internet. The risk is
ultimately yours.
Cookies:
As is common practice, ROPE may use cookies
to provide you with a more personalised service when you visit our website.
A cookie is a string of information that is delivered to your computer's hard
disk through your web browser so that the ROPE site can remember who you are.
The cookie will normally contain the name of the domain from which the cookie
has come for the life of the cookie and a value which is normally a random generated
number sequence. You cannot be identified solely from the cookie. Two types
of cookie are used: per session and persistent. The temporary per session cookie
remains in the file of your browser until you leave the site. The persistent
cookie stays as long as its lifetime. Usually such cookies store state information
between visits to a site. They permit customisation of, for example, log-ins
so that you do not have to repeat information supply every time you visit password
restricted parts of the site. You can adjust your web browser to refuse cookies
or to notify you every time a new cookie is received. However some of the interactive
features of the site may be impaired if you switch off cookie receipt.
Terms and Conditions:
The Privacy Policy constitutes an integral part
of Terms and Conditions for use of ROPE's web site. Your use of the site confers
acceptance of both Terms and Conditions and the integral Privacy Policy.
