Welcome to the ROPE shop! You can support the work of ROPE by buying products from our shop. Additionally, Lifeline gifts are also available to purchase, funding projects in various ROPE countries.
To buy products from the shop, you will need to download, print and complete the order form, then send it back to ROPE with a cheque for the full amount of your order.
These gifts do what they say - provide a life line for a very needy person. We have gifts to suit every budget, and they make a great gift for a Birthday or another special occasion - one that really makes a difference.
Additionally, for those wanting one, we are including a free hand made card from Mozambique with each Lifeline gift ordered.
Some of the gifts will be used to assist a community in Tanzania by supporting a primary school in Makutupora to build new classrooms. Tanzania is one of the poorest countries in the world and has an average life expectancy of just 46 years. The school was originally built in 1991 by parents who raised funds and volunteered manual work at the school site to build 7 classrooms. The government helped build a further 4 classrooms in 2000.
The need: Currently in a school of 11 classrooms, 7 of the classrooms are worn out posing a risk to the lives of pupils during class hours. The walls are full of cracks, the foundations of the buildings are weak and the roof timbers are mostly broken and rotten. The school is situated in the rift valley where small tremors often occur. Thus there is pending danger of the roof collapsing because of earthquakes. Furthermore during the rainy season water enters the classrooms. ROPE wants to support this project and we wish to raise the £23,000 needed for materials to build 7 new classrooms. The building will be supervised by a Christian, trained in architectural, design, supervision and inspection of buildings.
