Lenten Appeal - £30 will help homeless Helen Helen, 30, and her husband John, 60, are victims of war...having seen two children killed and their home destroyed. Like 1.5 million Ugandans, they have been forced to live in an internally displaced persons camp, helpless, traumatized and bitter. However it is amazing to see how the simple act of growing groundnuts has brought dignity and hope to Helen and her family’s life. She has successfully learnt to grow enough groundnuts to buy a goat, pay her children’s school fees and build a house! She thanks God for the blessings she has received and sends her deeply felt thanks to Rope supporters for the love and kindness shown to her. Lenten Appeal - Please donate £30 today! We are delighted that Helen's life has been transformed, but we still have a real need - to help a further 200 people, who last year suffered a poor harvest due to severe drought conditions. We want to buy 200 drought-resistant groundnuts, so they can harvest successfully. We need 27 people to donate £30! We have already raised enough for 173 farmers and just need a further 27 people to donate £30 for a bag! Please click on the link above to donate now!
