On Saturday 17th September 50 women from local churches came together at Chenies Baptist Church to walk for 10 vulnerable women, who have been helped by Rope and our partners over the last few years.

Starting at 10.30am we all set off to walk a 10 mile circular walk from Chenies Baptist Church.

We were a mixed group from younger women to more mature, but all were wearing our Women Walking 4 Women t shirts and all united in a desire to support and honour women who are living in poverty and seeking to provide for their own families in often very difficult situations.

We are delighted to report that everyone finished within 4.5 hours and all enjoyed a sandwich lunch at The Green Dragon pub at Flaunden Village.

The countryside of Buckinghamshire, and for a little while, Hertfordshire, was beautiful and the small amount of rain didn't dampen spirits.

All came over the line and enjoyed tea, cake and fellowship at the end.

Over £8,000 has been raised and we are still counting!
