This whole family lives in this small house, with the 40 year old mum having 14 children. The two oldest have moved out but one of the daughters who still lives there has two children so all in all the are at least 16 people living in the house.

Because they needed more room to sleep (there were only 3 rooms) they made the bathroom that was in the house into a bedroom. Culturally bathrooms are not seen as a priority and so hygiene is unimportant and disease spreads easily.

Rope supports a social worker who goes around teaching families the importance of taking care of themselves and understanding the necessity of  good hygiene. Through your support and prayers many will grow to understand the skills needed to prevent the spreading of disease.

It costs £55 a week to support a community worker
