Yehudit is a single parent with two small children.

Forced into an arranged marriage at 17, she faced true hardship when her husband died unexpectedly and her parents divorced, leaving her left to care for her elderly mother while trying to work to support her family with a meagre income of £1 a day.

Thankfully our partners, Beza Mother and Child Project, have been able to step in.

Her children have received clothes and free medical treatment and joined our partners’ pre-school. This frees Yehudit to extend her working day and she has joined the women’s food preparation group run by our partners.

She was so delighted to receive £25 from the group recently and is so very grateful for the opportunities given so she can change her life situation.
