News from our Partners – FEEEJ, Chad
We reported a few weeks ago that our partners FEEEJ in N’Djamena, Chad recently held their annual youth camp in line with the local government Covid-19 guidelines.
FEEEJ operates an evangelical and discipleship programme for young people, connecting closely with 22 local churches. Their centre in N’Djamena had to close middle of March along with the 22 partnership churches but they have been innovative and creative in the ways they can continue to engage with and support the young people.
The region has high unemployment and the youth camp focused much on encouraging the young people to think about creating their own work rather than waiting for opportunity to come their way. Didier, a local IT Specialist, who has a desire to see people to think more entrepreneurially was so encouraging and inspiring that several of the young people have since been developing and writing and projects to create their own businesses.
It is encouraging that even in a time of pandemic and worldwide economic problems, the young people we support through FEEEJ are looking to creating their own economic future.
- For the young people who are developing plans that they think sustainably
- For Elizabeth and her team as they look to support them.
