Walking 4 Dignity

We are delighted to announce that our very popular walking challenge is back in 2020!

This year we will walk 10 miles starting and ending at St Mary’s Church Princes Risborough, south Buckinghamshire on Saturday 19th September.  If you are new to our walk and want to know more about previous WW4W events, please download our special report from our walk in 2018:

Women Walking for Women 2018 Special Report

This year we will be walking in support of our partners and their work in DR Congo.  Partners BOMO, provide training, mentoring and support for vulnerable women, who are working as prostitutes in the capital city Kinshasa.  These women are aged from 19 – 34 years and many began working as prostitutes while in their teenage years, in order to feed themselves.

BOMO offer a residential programme, which provides a pathway to full restoration in Christ and vocational training in sewing and tailoring so they can gain dignified employment.  This year 24 women are being given this chance and we want to support them through our walk to provide them with a fresh start and dignity.

More details are to follow but if you are interested in receiving more information about the walk, please sign up and we will contact you.
