“Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labour in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.” Psalm 127:1

Rope works with the Foundation for Transformational Development to reach disadvantaged people in Isabela, Basilan City and Talisayan, Zamboanga City, with malnutrition of young children a particular problem in Isabela City.

Our work

Our partners aim to maximise the potential for families by nourishing their children through feeding programmes and by providing holistic transformative education for young people so that they will achieve excellence.

They seek to show God's love in all they do, so peace and spiritual understanding are increased.

Our partners provide a school feeding programme, in which 150 malnourished school children are given supplementary meals three times a week until they reach their ideal weight. The Foundation works with the children's parents on food and nutrition, and encourages them to grow their own vegetables.

It costs £20 a month to support a young person's scholarship.

The Foundation runs a scholarship programme to provide over 30 disadvantaged children with the opportunity to receive extra tuition to improve their academic performance and gain experience in technologies, including IT and how to improve food production. The programme seeks to cultivate a Christian character that will transform the students into honest, productive and globally competitive people.
