Lent Appeal

£10 provides a young person with a one to one prayer and counselling session.

Our Lent Appeal this year is supporting young people in N’Djamena, capital city of Chad.  Our partner Elizabeth and her team have established a centre which seeks to disciple 100 young people in the faith.  With poverty endemic and limited employment prospects, generations of young people are growing up believing that they have little hope for the future.  As a result they turn to immediate solutions – alcohol, drugs, pornography, early marriages and pregnancies.

Our partners’ ministry seeks to provide young people with a vision and hope that can only be found in Christ.  They provide opportunities to hear how God’s word is the truth and if applied to their daily lives will provide them with better life choices.  Our partners’ ultimate vision is that all these young people will realise their potential in Christ and be model leaders for the church in the future.  As part of their work, the centre offers one to one prayer and counselling sessions, so the young people can learn to deal with the deeper issues they are facing.
