‘But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”’ Luke 18:16-17

Maputo province in southern Mozambique is very rural and deprived area.   Education is not a priority for many living in small and remote communities within this province as many families face a hand to mouth existence.  Death from HIV/AIDS leaves many children orphaned with no support at all.

Our work

After much love, affection and prayer he now responds to the love shown to him

Our partners Mamoli Mission provide a home for orphaned and disadvantaged children.  This loving, caring family home not only give the children key life skills essential for an adult life in this remote region, but also enables them to attend good local schools.

Weather is severe in this region and Mamoli Mission has had to adapt to this inhospitable environment. Over the years they have grown vegetables and crops from three gardens and use the experience as a key part of the children's education.

Over the years children leaving the home have gone onto further education training to be nurses, teachers, pastors and dentists.  Others have found work in the tourism sector with one person becoming a missionary.

It costs £20 a month to support children at Mamoli

Through our Brighter Futures Group Schemes Rope supports the children at Mamoli Mission.

Brighter Futures aims to create a strong foundation for vulnerable children. All the homes are close to good schools and our Christian partners create loving and caring family homes, which nurture the children.
