Comfort’s husband died leaving her to raise her four children alone. This led to conflict with her in-laws and her inability to run a small hairnet business and farm holding. She couldn’t feed, clothe or educate her children.
10 years on, Comfort’s life has been transformed.
She has rebuilt her home, developed and grown her businesses – making and selling coconut oil, rearing livestock and developing a market garden! All of these income- generating activities have meant she can feed her children and send the younger ones to school.
Through counselling and pastoral support, she has come to faith and dealt with the conflict with her late husband’s family. She is now an active member of her church and a keen evangelist.
She says, “I hope God will use me to bring the comfort to others that I received.”
