Based in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, Rope has a Trustee board, small staff team and is gratefully supported by amazing volunteers. We are united in the desire to see hope restored and lives transformed.

Meet the Staff

Jeremy Hay

Chief Executive
Based in High Wycombe, Jay is passionate about ensuring all are welcomed into the Kingdom of God and experience the love and hope of Christ. He draws on his corporate and charity sector experience to build community outreach projects both here and internationally. He is married with two grown up children and a member of CSK in High Wycombe.

Adrian Whittred

Partners Relationship Manager
With a background in Human Resources having previously worked for an organisation with global reach, Adrian is just the man to help our partners feel connected and supported. Adrian ensures that the projects bring true transformation and that we know and equip our partners well. He is married with two grown-up children and part of the leadership team at his local Baptist church.

Amos Oumounabidji

Partners Relationship Coordinator
The newest member of the team, Amos works two days a week alongside Adrian, helping support our partners across the world. Originally from Chad, he and his wife Heather spent many years living as missionaries, translating the New Testament into his native language, Gabri. Amos, Heather and their two grown up sons now live in High Wycombe.

Wendy Reynolds

Administration Manager
Having joined Rope in 2011, Wendy has a wealth of experience from the corporate and local government sectors and is passionate about using these skills to extend God’s Kingdom across the world. Wendy is married and enjoys taking her dog Holly on long walks.

Jenny Rooke

Fundraising Manager
Jenny has fundraised in both paid and volunteer capacities for over 20 years. She has worked for a variety of different charities; local, national and international. She seeks to raise the profile of Rope so that more people will learn of its inspiring work. She is married with two children and a member of her local Baptist Church.

Natasha Thomsit

Finance Manager
Bringing a wealth of experience as a qualified accountant, Natasha is committed to helping transform lives and ensure that money is used to bring long-term sustainability to the projects we support. Natasha is married with two young boys.

Lauren Childs

Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator
Passionate about equipping people to know their worth and value as God’s children, Lauren seeks to share the work of the projects with those in the UK. Originally a Yorkshire woman, she has since graduated from the London School of Theology in 2015 and felt God call her to join the Rope team.

Laura Evans

Projects Support Administrator
Laura is working part time with Rope as she studies for her PhD at London School of Theology. She works with Adrian providing support when dealing with all of our worldwide partners as well as writing our monthly prayer letters.

Meet the Trustees

Kathy Nussbaum

Chair of Trustees
Kathy has a nursing background. She has combined caring for a family with various voluntary roles, both in the church and in the community. This included a long spell as a school governor, with several years as Chair, which gave wide experience in management. She is a members of Kings Church Amersham.

Charles Thompson

Treasurer
'Charles is a Chartered Accountant living in High Wycombe and attends the church of Christ the Servant King where he is also the treasurer. He has worked with a large number of churches and many Christian charities for many years as either auditor or accountant. More recently he was Director of Finance for nearly ten years at Wycliffe Bible Translators in Saunderton.

John Shepherd

Trustee
John is a Christian minister who has served as Minister of Emmanuel church, Chesham since 2003. He began ordained ministry in inner city Manchester, and gained valuable experience spending time, along with his family, in North East Brazil.

Tony Houghton

Trustee
Tony has been a volunteer with Rope since 2002. Having recently moved to Witney he continues to serve by preaching and bringing Bible based talks to various groups. Tony works as marketing consultant in the medical sector and agri-business. Tony and his wife support Rope as volunteer speakers, visiting churches, preaching and leading services so people can learn more about our inspiring partners and the work we support.

Philip Derbyshire

Trustee
Philip is a Civil Engineer living in Princes Risborough where he worships at St. Mary's Church.  He has been a Rope supporter for several years and following retirement is now also a volunteer and Trustee. Philip has previously taken on the challenge of climbing Kilimanjaro and raised an amazing £2,300 for our Groundnut Project in Uganda, which his church also supports.  Philip was able to use this opportunity to visit some of our partners in Kenya, seeing patients at Dreamland Hospital.
