Kathy Nussbaum (Chair of Trustees)

Kathy has a nursing background. She has combined caring for a family with various voluntary roles, both in the church and in the community. This included a long spell as a school governor, with several years as Chair, which gave wide experience in management.

The bible words that inspire Kathy are the desire to see the fulfilment of "Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven".

Philip is a Civil Engineer living in Princes Risborough where he worships at St. Mary's Church.  He has been a Rope supporter for several years and following retirement is now also a volunteer and Trustee.

In 2014, Philip took on the challenge of climbing Kilimanjaro and raised an amazing £2,300 for our Groundnut Project in Uganda, which his church also supports.  Philip was able to use this opportunity to visit some of our partners in Kenya, seeing patients at Dreamland Hospital and visiting boys looked after at Sunshine Home in Naivasha.

Jon Dobbs

Jon is passionate to see the church engage locally, nationally and internationally to transform lives with the love of Christ. He joined the Metropolitan Police in 1978, working as a frontline officer for 30 years, specialising in the Dog Section and retiring in 2009. He is  fully committed to his local church - Farnhams & Hedgerley Community Church.

Jon has visited a number of Rope's projects and was instrumental in establishing our partnership with Heart 4 Lebanon, who are currently supporting Syrian refugee families.  Jon was able to visit one of the camps in 2013 to see for himself how our partners are bringing Christ's love and hope to those in desparate situations.

Tony Houghton

Tony has been a volunteer with Rope since 2002. He attends Wantage Baptist Church where he is an Elder, involved in preaching, and in bringing Bible based talks to various groups in addition to leading a house group. Tony works as marketing consultant in the medical sector and agri-business.

Tony and his wife support Rope as volunteer speakers, visiting churches, preaching and leading services so people can learn more about our inspiring partners and the work we support.

The bible verse meaningful to Tony is Luke 9:62:  Jesus replied "No one who puts a hand to the plough and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God."
